Party Pump 8" Metal Body - D System
The classic red-cup party pump — the cheap, simple way to tap a keg for a single afternoon. This is the 8" metal-body D-system party pump: lever-handle Sankey coupler, internal gasket for a no-leak seal, hand pump on top to push beer when you don't have CO2. Perfect for keg parties, picnics, and one-and-done events.
Why a party pump (and when not to)
- Cheap and simple: No CO2 tank, no regulator. Pump the handle, pour the beer.
- Universal D-system fit: Works on any standard US 1/6 or 1/2 BBL keg.
- Solid metal body: 8-inch metal pump body holds up to a long night of party use.
- BUT: Hand pumps push air (not CO2) into the keg. Air oxidizes beer fast — that's why beer pumped this way goes flat and tastes off within 24 hours. Great for one party. Don't try to keep the keg around for the week.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the keg stay good with a party pump?
One day, two at most. Hand-pumping forces ambient air (and bacteria) into the keg, which oxidizes the beer. For multi-day use, switch to a CO2-driven coupler.
Will this work on European kegs?
No — European kegs use S-system valves. Use a CO2 setup with our S System Coupler.
