The first truly portable nitrogen draft system. Pour smooth, cascading nitro cold brew or nitro stout the way it's meant to be served — anywhere. Built around our 304 stainless mini keg, paired with a dedicated nitro spear and stout faucet, this is what cold-brew enthusiasts and nitro stout fans have been asking us to build.

Why nitrogen, not CO2

  • The cascade effect: Nitrogen pushes through a restrictor plate in the stout faucet, breaking up the gas into tiny bubbles that produce that signature creamy waterfall pour.
  • Smoother mouthfeel: Lower pressure feel, creamier head, and longer head retention than CO2 — the difference between a draft Guinness and a bottled one.
  • Perfect for cold brew coffee: Nitro cold brew at home, served from a tap that lives in the fridge.

What's in the Box

How to Use

  1. Brew or buy your cold brew concentrate (or grab a stout). Fill the sanitized keg.
  2. Insert the nitro spear and seat the stout faucet.
  3. Charge with a non-threaded N2 cartridge.
  4. Let the keg chill in the fridge for at least an hour to allow the nitrogen to dissolve.
  5. Pull the handle straight forward for the full cascading pour. Let the head settle, then top off.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use CO2 cartridges instead?

No — this system is built around non-threaded nitrogen cartridges. CO2 in this faucet won't give you the cascade effect and will over-carbonate cold brew.

What kind of cold brew works best?

A standard 1:4 cold brew concentrate diluted to taste, served at refrigerator temperature. Skip the dairy in the keg — add it after pouring.

Will this work with regular beer?

Stouts and porters yes (nitro pours are common for those styles). Highly carbonated beers like IPAs and pilsners are designed for CO2, not nitrogen.

Do I need to chill the keg before serving?

Yes — nitrogen dissolves much better in cold liquid. Give it at least an hour in the fridge after charging.

Pairs Well With

Stock up on nitrogen cartridges or N2O chargers, and pair with our 8-Pint Keg Kooler to keep the keg cold on the go. Already have a CO2 mini keg? Convert it with the Nitrogen Spear Upgrade Kit.
