Skip the off-flavors. Lines stay clean, beer stays right. The Keg Smiths Beer Line Cleaning Kit gives you a 4" metal hand pump, a brass tower connector, a faucet wrench, and a brush — everything you need to push cleaner through your beer lines and scrub the faucet at the same time. The right tool for the job that nobody wants to do but everybody should.

Why clean your beer lines

  • Off-flavors come from dirty lines: Yeast film, beer stone, and biofilm coat the inside of beverage lines and start to bleed into every pour. The first sign is a vague "funky" or "buttery" taste — that's bacteria, not beer.
  • Reduces foam: Buildup creates turbulence which creates foam. Clean lines pour cleanly.
  • Manual pump = no chemicals back in your CO2 system: The hand pump pushes cleaner through under controlled pressure without forcing solution into your regulator or tank.

What's in the Kit

  • 4" metal hand pump for pushing cleaning solution through lines
  • Brass tower / standard shank connector
  • Faucet wrench
  • Single-side faucet brush

How to Use

  1. Mix cleaning solution (we recommend our Mini-Keg Cleaning Tablets) with warm water in the pump.
  2. Disconnect the keg and connect the brass fitting to the tower or shank.
  3. Pump the solution through the line and out the faucet.
  4. Use the faucet brush to scrub the faucet body separately.
  5. Rinse with clean water until it runs clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I clean my lines?

Every 2 weeks for active draft systems; before every fresh keg if you're switching beverages (e.g., beer to cold brew).

What cleaner should I use?

Our cleaning tablets work great — dissolve in warm water and pump through. Avoid bleach, which leaves residual taste.
