Nitrogen Threaded Beverage Grade Cartridges - 4.1 Gram
The first — and still the only — threaded food-grade nitrogen cartridges on the market. Same physical form factor as our 16g CO2 cartridges (3/8" thread, identical body), so they drop straight into any Keg Smiths CO2 mini keg system or any 16g threaded regulator. 4.1 grams of pure beverage-grade N2 per cartridge, 10 cartridges per box.
Why threaded nitrogen matters
- One regulator, two gases: Use the same regulator for CO2 and N2 — just swap cartridges. No second nitro spear needed.

Why Only 4.1g vs 16g for CO2
Same physical cartridge size, vastly different gas density. CO2 molecules are heavier and pack tighter — 16 grams fit in this size cartridge. Nitrogen molecules are smaller and lighter, so only 4.1 grams of N2 fit the same volume. Both are correct for their gas; the difference is physics, not quality.
How to Use
- Confirm regulator output is closed.
- Thread the N2 cartridge into your regulator (replaces a CO2 cartridge in the same fitting).
- Open the output and dial in serving pressure.
- For nitro effect, pour through a stout / creamer faucet (see our stout tips).

Will these work with my Premium Draft CO2 Mini Keg?
Yes — the system is designed to accept both threaded CO2 and threaded N2 cartridges. For full nitro cascade, you'll also want a stout / creamer faucet tip.
How long does one cartridge last?
For nitro cold brew or nitro stout in a 128 oz keg, plan on 1–2 cartridges per fill depending on serving rate.
