Ball Lock Disconnect Posts
Make your Keg Smiths mini keg play nice with the rest of the keg world. These ball lock disconnect posts convert your standard Keg Smiths spear into ball-lock-compatible ports — so you can connect your mini keg to a kegerator, an existing ball-lock setup, or any common Cornelius-style draft equipment.
Why convert to ball lock
- Universal compatibility: Ball lock is the standard fitting for homebrew kegerators and the wider keg ecosystem. Convert once and your mini keg plays everywhere.
- Liquid or gas variants: Pick the right post for the line you're plumbing — liquid out (long shaft) or gas in (short shaft).
- Reversible: Posts thread on and off — you can switch back to standard Keg Smiths fittings any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need both the liquid and gas posts?
Most full conversions use both — the liquid post for the dip-tube/out line, the gas post for the inlet. If you only need one direction (e.g., gas-in for force-carbing), one post is enough.
Are ball lock disconnects included?
No — these are the keg-side posts. The disconnects (the part that snaps on) are sold separately.
Pairs Well With
Pair with a Ball Lock Disconnect Set for the line side, the Ball Lock Spear for a complete keg-side conversion, or our Mini Keg with Ball Lock Spear if you want it pre-installed.
